With the rapid development of urban modernization process,water meters,meters and gas meters are widely used in industrial and residential daily life.Came into being a variety of automatic meter reading technology,with its superior characteristics have been made a great social and economic benefits,but there are still some defects of many automatic meter reading system in the practical application,such as the user’s table with no communication capabilities or communication module failure,the current automatic meter reading system can not be compatible with these tables,In order to solve the above problems,a direct reading remote meter reading system is proposed.The purpose of this paper is to clarify the significance and background of the remote meter reading system,and to summarize the advantages and disadvantages of each system and the automatic meter reading system and direct reading remote meter reading.In view of the above problems,the system design and the main research work needed to be completed.(1)Aiming at the problem of data flow and storage space wastage caused by the return of the table image to the control center,an automatic recognition method of the meter reading device is proposed,which takes the STM32F429 processor with high performance and low power as the core and completes the interior of the image Flash(2M)storage and digital identification.According to the influence of illumination and other factors on the shooting effect,the fill light camera is designed,the camera is set in the closed environment,and the two sides of the LED fill light,the experiment shows the effectiveness of this method.(2)After the gray scale and histogram equalization,the edge detection and binarization processing of the image based on the edge detection binarization method of LoG operator is proposed,and the median filter is filtered out of the noise,to improve the accuracy of identification;In this paper,the method of pattern recognition is used to identify the digital recognition.The experiment shows that this method is faster and accurate with the recognition rate of 98% or more,which can meet the actual requirements of the system.(3)This design realizes an automatic meter reading system based on RTU and MTU,uses the configuration software to carry on the data processing and the display,completes the data of the table form wirelessly;designs and constructs the solar power supply system according to the system power supply question.Through the test and field tests show that: the system’s installation and debugging is simple,character recognition speedly,low bit error rate,stable and reliable.The innovation of the system is the dial reading by the field meter reading device to obtain access avoiding wastage of transfering the image back to the control center causing by the data flow and storage resources,so that these tables with the data can be compatible with the company’s current automatic meter reading system. |
