The technology of virtual instruments has been widely used in the field of test and measurement.Although developing application software for combined modular instrument with graphical programming satisfies the requirements of users,such as the speed and the convenience during developing,this method could hardly fulfill the demands in terms of quality and post-maintenance.In order to solve the problem that the requirements of users to obtain dynamic information such as the execution of graphical programs or the state of data processing could not be meet under the use of existed application development environment for combined modular instruments.This paper put forward a combined modular instrument application development environment debugging system and provides users with effective ways on fast-positioning custom instrument application software defects and getting solutions.This paper developed a theoretical framework on the debugging method of the application software of combined modular instrument.1)Overall Program Study.Aiming at the problem of the combined modular application development platform and the kernel of instrument application developed by the laboratory,the concept of a combined modular application development environment debugging system was put forward.2)Research on the debugging system of combined modular instrument application development platform.In order to make users get better man-machine interaction during debugging,the debugging flow suitable for graphical programming language is studied.Further,the debug command and debug information expression and management mode were studied.3)Research on application operation kernel debugging system of the combined modular instrument.In order to let the instrument application software process according to the demands of users as well as feedback the operation information,the debugging control method,debugging command execution method and debugging feedback information collecting method applied to the combined modular instrument running kernel were studied.4)Research on application development environment debugging interaction mechanism of combined modular instrument.In order to fulfill the need of debugging interaction such as command issuing and information feedback between development platform and running kernel in different process space,we studied debugging interaction channel,debugging interaction protocol and callable debugging interaction interface.Finally,by the dynamic test of the debugging function of the prototype of the three-tier nested structure verification,the feasibility and effectiveness of the debug system of the combined modular application development environment were verified.
