As the sign of modern science technology's development, the development of computer science is eternally improving, and it is now affecting the other technologies. The measuring instrument is experiencing a total revolution now. Computer-based measuring instrument is getting more and more realizable, and its appearance and application is putting a deep affection on traditional measuring instrument. As the new form of traditional instrument, VI (short form of Virtual Instrument) is now very popular. Today, VI is playing a more and more important role in the measuring field, and it will be the direction of science instrument in the future. The first chapter of this theme mainly introduces these things: the basic concept of VI, the system frame of VI and the research status of VI development platform today. These aspects are all about the introduction of VI's recent research background. Some popular VI development platforms all over the world were enumerated. Through the enumeration we can see that China has great technology gap with developed countries in this field. To narrow the gap, we developed the VI development platform called LabScene independently. In the second chapter, the system frame of LabScene is introduced. Combining real hardware's making up with the characteristic of graphic programming in LabScene, 6 basic elements which are used to realize the graphic programming function of LabScene are abstracted out of the real circuit diagram. At the end of this chapter, the corresponding relationship of real circuit and G language is analyzed. The third chapter is the most important chapter of this theme. It mainly describes the realization of virtual controls in LabScene from the angle of software. These virtual controls are used to face the domain of measuring instrument, so they must have the characteristics below:1) User interface should simulate the traditional instrument user interface as well as possible.
