Investigation And Research On The Construction Of Video Database Resources Of "Double First Class" University Libraries

Video database resources have become the essential reserve of the current library digital collection,with the development of various technical networks and the trend of the development of the digital Internet age.To provide users with more adequate and satisfactory services,the construction of video database has become the only way for the development of University Libraries in China.While the demand for video database resources is strong in our university library,the readers of teachers and students can not do without the use of video database in their own learning,teaching,examination and so on.It can not only promote the utilization of the library resources,improve the learning enthusiasm and teaching quality of the students,but also provide a variety of entertainment and leisure services for the readers.Therefore,it is an indispensable part of the great blueprint to build the library into the digital service of our university library as the library of the "two first-class" universities in China.However,the construction of video database in China started late,and there are many shortcomings both in theoretical research and in practical equipment.Based on the research and research object of the video database construction of 137 "double first-class" university libraries,this paper selects video database construction side from 42 "world class universities" and 95 "world class subject"colleges and universities in the current stage of "double class" University Library video database construction.This paper analyzes the successful typical cases,and studies the achievements and exposure problems in the construction of the video database of "two first-class" University Libraries in China,and puts forward some effective and pertinent countermeasures and suggestions to help the construction of the video database of the "double class" University Library in China,There are six parts in this paper.The first part introduces the concept and characteristics of Library video resources,and the research status of video database at home and abroad as well as its research significance,and expounds the research content,ideas and methods of this paper,and summarizes the innovation of the article.The second part,through the investigation of the development of the video resources construction of the 137"double first-class" university libraries,this paper summarizes the construction of the video database of the domestic university libraries,and then through the investigation of the three aspects of the collection channels,the content construction and the service construction of the video database of the "double first-class" university library.The construction of video resources in domestic university libraries.The third part mainly takes Peking University,South China Normal University and Anhui University as the three "double first class" university libraries as an example.Through questionnaire survey and network survey,the application time,type,and source way of Library video resource construction are discussed and analyzed.The fourth part is the analysis of the existing problems in the construction of video resources in the "double class"University Library in China.It is found that there are four main problems,such as high construction cost,immature storage and retrieval technology,lack of copyright management and imperfect service construction.The fifth part,in order to improve the construction of the "double first class" Library Video Database in our country,and aiming at the problems found in the investigation,we put forward four measures to improve the capital investment,strengthen the construction of technology,strengthen the management of copyright and improve the construction of service.The sixth part,the conclusion and the prospect of the future,and summarize the content of this survey and research,and explain its shortcomings,looking forward to the future direction of the development direction of the research.
