Development And Application Of Railway Dispatching And Transportation Information Management System

Given the rapidly expanding railway transportation system of China and the fast progressing development of Information Technology,the traditional manual dispatching model can no longer meet the demand of informatization of railway systems.Facing the challenge,the birth of railway transportation information management system has significantly scaled up the efficiency of railway transportation management and brought the informational management of railway systems to a different level.This paper will first provide a detailed introduction on the research background of railway transportation information management systems,identify problems that await to be solved,then According to the working mode of railway transportation and the actual situation of the unit,the transportation information management system give an initial discussion about the importance of this type of system as well as its significance as in research followed by an introduction of the techniques and methodology of software development.The second part of the paper focuses on the analysis,design and implementation of the railway transportation information management system by applying a combination of Object-Oriented Modeling,Unified Modeling Language(UML)and more.Finally,in the last section,with the implementation using Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Develop package,SQL Server 2008 database and C# as the programming language,the implementation details of features such as Schedule Log Manager,Operational Map and Dispatch Management tool will be discussed.By leveraging the power of technological innovation,railway transportation information management systems bring changes to traditional railway transportation operators,implement the informatization of railway transportation management,enhance the efficiency of railway transportation as well as its safety,and drive the industrialisation with informatization.This paper,from one aspect,proves the advantage,specificity and to some extent,the limitation of railway transportation information management systems,meanwhile,confirms that railway transportation information management systems can generally meet the requirement of the traditional manual dispatch management systems and the necessity of the transition from traditional transportation management models to railway transportation information management systems.
