With the high-speed development of electronic communication technology,the requirement of data transmission are increasing rapidly.The data transmission system should not only meet the connection of the sender and receiver,but also need to achieve the functions of data processing,conversion,storage and transmission.Data transmission system has become an important auxiliary system of image acquisition and multi sensor data fusion.The transmission form of data,transmission medium,processing speed and processing are the focus of the research.Through the application of LVDS technology,this paper studies the data transmission system based on LVDS.The system can convert the serial LVDS signal to the data packets in accordance with the UDP/IP protocol.In order to ensure the integrity of data,the system uses a large-capacity,high-speed memory SDRAM as a cache.The main contents are as follows:First of all,through the perusal and analysis of related literatures,this paper summarizes the research direction and hotspot of current data transmission system.Then,this paper analyzes the architecture and composition of the system,and the scheme of the data preprocessing using FPGA as master controller in detail.At the same time,introduces the key technologies of the system,including the basic theory and signal characteristics of LVDS,the physical characteristics,storage principle and the basic commands of SDRAM,as well as the basic theory of Ethernet,such as TCP/IP architecture,UDP/IP protocol and MAC protocol.Secondly,this paper analyzes the design of each module of the system in detail.LVDS module describes the operational principle of the driver and receiver,introduces the LVDS chip and analyses the design ideas of LVDS transmission and receiving interface module.meanwhile,through the result of simulation verifies the validity of this module.SDRAM module introduces the SDRAM chip and basic operation timing,analyzes the general design idea of SDRAM module,including the design of SDRAM controller and FIFO control module.At the same time,the function of SDRAM module is tested and verified by simulation.Ethernet module introduces the ethernet network based on UDP/IP protocol,designs the thernet controller and verifies the function of this module through the simulation.Finally,this paper tests each of functional module and whole performance of the system with the designed system.According to the test results of each module,this paper realizes the conversion of LVDS signal,the arbitration of the request both read,write and refresh and the output of SDRAM basic operating instructions as well as the transmission of ethernet frame based on FPGA platform.According to the system test results,this paper has realized the conversion between LVDS signal and ethernet frame and the data processing function of the system.
