A Study On The Construction Of The University Library's Makerspace In China

With the rapid development of Internet,the rise of electronic reading and the emergence of other high-tech,the way users get information becomes more convenient and diversified,the university library as the main place for teachers and students to obtain information its service idea and service methods need to change with the changing times.As a new type of service space,makerspaces has developed gradually in the domestic and foreign libraries because of its advantages of learning,communication,information sharing and social interaction.University Libraries in China can grasp the opportunity for transformation,through the creation of University Library makerspace,constantly improve service,improve service quality,to provide more efficient and convenient service for teachers and students.This paper firstly reviews the background and research content of the library makerspace both from the the domestic and foreign,and clarify the value of the existence of makerspace and the research meaning.Secondly,gives a brief description of the Maker,Makerspace and so on.On the basis of these research,using the method of literature research,case studies and field survey makes a lot of investigation of the development situation of makerspace in domestic and foreign li'braries.The paper takes the typical library makerspace such as the United States Fayetteville Free Library and Shanghai Library as examples,for cases analysis,in order to in order to understand the relevant situation,learn from the development experience.Thirdly,discussion on the value and superiority of the University Library's Makerspace in China.Finally,on the basis of domestic and foreign development experience,the paper puts some suggestions for the construction of the necessary conditions,principles,construction planning,and construction of model classification,and illuminate some problems which need to pay attention to when building.
