The technological level as well as design level of the integrated circuit are increasing and the chip the chip towards smaller,systematic and multi-functionalization based on the Moore's Law.Design companies need to improve the flexibility of the chip products to meet different customer's needs.Like the design of Power Management Integrated Circuit(PMIC),a power management chip needs to meet various power supply platform for their functional requirements.In order to reduce costs and shorten the design cycle,companies usually use the One-Time Programmable(OTP)Non-Volatile Memory(NVM)to store internal register values and instruction sets for different platforms.In the terminal products,the initial value and instruction set of the registers in the chip are significant.The control module of NVM can change the configuration register values and instructions during chip power up to update part of products function.The method can not only repair the functional problems that not be found in the front-end function verification,but also be achieved with the same power management chip applied to the requirements of the supply voltage circuit system.In summary,the configurability of NVM improves the flexibility of the chip application.The advantages of this approach compared to software control is faster rewriting speed,lower power consumption and costs,ease of use.This thesis is divided into three parts: Firstly,introducing the function and basic application structure of NVM in the PMIC,and dividing functional module according to the application structure of NVM control system to complete sub-module design.Mainly include data storage write,write data detection,storage data read,the main control application processing chip to the memory of the internal data directly read the check,data parser,as well as the functional interactive feedback of the NVM control module and the processing unit.Secondly,using Universal Verification Methodology(UVM)to build the verification environment,collating the verification needs of the module to be verified and writing testcases.Finally,completing the functional verification and analyze the verification results,and increasing the code coverage and functional coverage.
