Design And Implementation Of New EDI Data Exchange Platform With A Capacity Of Thirty Million TEU

EDI(Electronic Data Interchange)[1],is the Electronic Data Exchange by the ISO,and widely used at the Port business in data exchange.As the International trade grows rapidly,the annual containers volume at Ningbo Port has dramatically increased from a few hundred thousand to twenty million TEU.Howsoever,in order to fulfil the business development and expansion in the following five to ten years;and to improve the data accuracy,efficiency,and integration;it is crucial to develop and set up a Data Exchange Platform with the capacity of thirty million TEU so as to ensure and achieve the task of business expansion at Ningbo Port.This essay is written on basis of,the analysis of the history and current status of EDI message transmission business,and from the analysis current status of EDI platform both internationally and domestically.It also combines with the current existing problems at Ningbo Port,such as message data processing pressure per equipment,message type changing frequency,and concerns on the efficiency problem of data transmission,etc.It urges the project on building up a high-speed and bigger datas EDI Data Exchange platform.This project will be accord with the principal of multiple pipelines,medium format of data exchange,and minimum impact,to design and work on the data flow,data storage and data processing detachment.This essay fulfils the basic task of,data storage design,data tables design,and database design and data query design and so forth,so as to work on the designing of EDI platform.It adopts the AXWAY-MAP Designer to develop the data format transmission,utilize the AXWAY-Composer to achieve the data flow,and bases on the AJAX+JS+Struct2 to achieve the display of web data,therefore complete the data flow of EDI platform.Finally,in terms of the need of a thirty million TEU EDI platform,it tests its performance,its data processing capacity and efficiency,and data display.It therefore verifies the EDI platform in this essay is able to satisfy the future business with the capacity of thirty million TEU.
