In the condition that division of labor becomes more globalized and market competition is increasingly fierce, many individual companies form a large supply chain for specific market opportunities. In order to enhance the supply-chain efficiency, enterprises in the supply chain are trying to establish standard for electronic business, of which the data-exchange platform is typical application software. Data-exchange platform aims to provide standard e-business process as well as data exchange and it has come to be a proper solution to remarkably enhance the efficiency of data exchange among large enterprise. However, in the whole world, especially in China, the mid-and-small sized companies play an important role in e-business market. Therefore, it's necessary to increase the flexibility of data-exchange platform so that it can not only serve large companies but also suit for those companies which are less information-automatic.Information transmission is the core sub-system of the data-exchange platform and most of such platforms take message-based model for transmission among large enterprises. It requires strict condition on application software server and hardware as well as the enterprise-information-automatization of users so it's not suitable for most mid-and-small sized companies.This thesis raises a multi-transmission mechanism which provides four categories of transmission, which are based on JMS(Java Message Service), MQ(IBM's product), HTTP and SMTP. For large or multi-national companies, data transmission based on JMS and MQ can address their requirements on efficiency and security while for mid-and-small sized companies, transmission based on HTTP and SMTP are less efficient and safe but are much cheaper than the other ways and have less restriction on enterprise information automatization. The paper describes the main functions of multi-transmission in details, which mainly consist of data transmission, transform, backup, transaction control, data security and other business application such as flux statistic. Then it focuses on the development process of multi-transmission. In the end, it gives brief evaluation on the function, perform and availability of this solution.
