In recent years,with the rapid development of the catering industry in our country,a growing number of people begin to take advantage of the internet technology to manage their enterprises.However,in the traditional catering operation systems,the processes including food purchasing,inventory management,food making,food sales and so on are independented of each other,and the management mode of the systems are simple.Thus,these traditional systems cannot integrate all the resource and the data produced cannot be shared by all the processes.To elevate the competitiveness of enterprises and improve the informationization management level,we introduce ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning).Then,for practicability,we design a more full-featured catering ERP management system.According to the deficiency of the current catering operation systems and the requirement of the small and medium-size catering enterprises,we implement a novel catering ERP management system.In our proposed system,we design and then implement eight modules,including purchasing module,inventory management module,kitchen management module,food design module,food sales module,enterprise management module,consumer client and supplier client module.Specially,these modules are integrated into our system,and then,form a closed loop chain.In this chain,the information produced by each module can be shared by other modules.Therefore,the share of information can help the managers operate a unified management.Furthermore,based on the traditional ERP systems,we also take the consumer and supplier into consideration.This way can not only achieve the internal resource sharing in the enterprises,but also realize the information sharing between the consumer and the supplier.In this paper,according to the business requirements of the small and medium-sized catering enterprise,the requirements of the overall system and each subsystem module are analysised in detail.The EIO framework is used for the development of the small and medium-sized catering ERP management system in terms of hierarchically design and implementation of system.There for our proposed system has good flexibility and scalability.In addition,mobile client uses the Android platform for development,and HttpClient is used to realize the network communication between the client and the server.Also,the reservation function is achieved combined with mobile payment technology.Moreover,in order to help the enterprise push the message to the customer timely,based on the MQTT protocol,a server-to-client message push function is realized in the server.In addition,the RBAC fine-grained access control model to ensure the security access and flexible control of the system.In the end,we improve the response speed of the system from four aspects such as the data table object,database server,index and application layer in order to solve the bottleneck problem of system performance.At last we test the core modules in our catering ERP system,which includes the purchasing management,inventory management,sales management,kitchen management and so on.Then,the test results show that the proposed ERP scheme for the small and medium-sized catering enterprise is feasible.Of course,the system meets the actual demand.
