In order to meet the requirement of more convenient and transparent ordering and themodernization of the enterprise management mode in the food industry, it is necessary todesign a set of catering management system to conform to the living habits of the people. Inthe background of this trend, the design and implementation of a simple cateringmanagement system based on MCU is introduced by this thesis. This system is cheap, easyto operate, safe and reliable, at the same time, it contributes to the catering enterprises toimprove competitiveness and achieve benefit to the maximum.This paper mainly expounds the design and implementation of a simple cateringmanagement system based on MCU. By learning and drawing lessons from the cateringmanagement system of the domestic and international market, the system is designed toincude ordering terminal and management system in PC. This paper combines the method oftop-down and bottom-up to make the system modularization. It relates to the technology ofMCU, ADO, touch and display, and so on. MCU is used to control the ordering terminal,when touch screen is touched, the relevant information will be displayed on LCD. It candisplay color, Chinese, English, numbers, symbols, the bitmap with BMP format and so on.At the same time, it has the function of odering, viewing and modifying the menu byclicking on the touch screen. The management system in PC refers to MFC and Accessdatabase. It has table odering management, stock management, paying the bill and otherfunctions. Database is designed and implemented by the way of tables, which include tableodering management, statistics of income and so on.The touch terminal uses the serial portto communicate with computer.After a series of debugging, the system passes the test requirements and fully meetsthe functional requirements and non-functional requirements. The practice indicates that,this design is practical. Its cost is not high, and easy to realize. And these are valuable fordeveloping similar systems, it also applys to the design of the information managementsystem and the touch terminal.
