| Given the improvement of the facilities of the network,Internet has been deeply embedded into people's daily life in the context of the digital era.It is noticeable that there is a merging culture phenomena,which combines the youth subculture with the new media technology,creating a new form of entertainment called pure network variety show.As the American Psychologist Erickson said,“At anytime,teenagers initially represent the most noisy,as well as the most attractive part for their nations.” Consequently,youth subculture shadows the essence of the change of the society at some level,signaling the social innovation,fighting against and negotiating with the main culture in its unique style.Currently,the pure network variety show is an important platform in presenting the contemporary youth subculture.By means of the new media technology,the innovation of the content and the recreation of the shooting studio could it break the traditional model of “produce-broadcast”,introducing the youth subculture into the mainstream.Moreover,the user-generated program would challenge both recognition and the existing picture of the video industry.This paper would focus on the performance and the function of the youth subculture in the course of the pure network variety show,and different kinds of user-generated programs from various channels would also be analyzed.For instance,<Let's talk> as one of the leading programs in the field of pure network variety show,intensively presents the popular elements and the dynamic visual and linguistic registers in the youthful group,maximizing the very features of the youth subculture via its form and its content.The motivation of this research is to review and analyze the youth subculture by taking <Let's talk> as a case study,then to capture the psychological characteristics of the contemporary young people,and finally to provide further references to the development of the Internet entertainment industry and the pure network variety show. |
