With the continuous development of computer networks,network size is growing,structural complexity and heterogeneity increasing.In addition,the network application softwares are rich and varied,especially in the current distributed computing more widely,so that greatly increased the difficulty of network management.Faced with increasingly complex network environment,network administrators demand for network management and mon itoring is growing.Realization of network monitoring and management needs a proper and efficient NMS.Through NMS,you can view real-time status of the network operation,find the network problems that may occur and affect network performance bottlenecks,while the NMS able to network anomaly automatically generated alarms.Therefore,the quality of a network management system will directly affect the network is capable of stable and efficient operation.This paper implements a network management system,the purpose is to achieve a variety of network devices on the network effective centralized management and monitoring,improve network manageability and controllability level,simplify network management tasks.In this paper,the system practical application scenarios demand analysis,identified the main functions of the system include: network topology discovery and configuration,network access monitoring,network equipment monitoring,network traffic monitoring and alarm archives.Select SNMP SNMP as a technical basis,highlighting the SNMP protocol and the Windows environment related points SNMP programming techniques.The system uses a centralized architecture,using VC++ programming environment and libraries Win SNMP design,on this basis,by scanning network devices and network interface,set up the network communication parameters,access to network devices and network-related data,completed within the LAN network equipment and network traffic monitoring.In addition,the system can access the device,the device status,network thresholds to monitor for abnormal changes in a timely manner to generate alarm information and alarm recording.Finally,through the NMS actual deployment of core functional tests performed and the overall operation test.System is expected to complete the basic functional requirements,the core functions can be used normally,reaching assist network monitoring,simplify network management objectives.
