Nowadays, the techniques of internet develop rapidly, and the scale of network increase a lot, also the structure of network becomes more and more complex. Whether or not the network equipments operate normally determines the stability and reliability of network. So the most important thing of network management is to monitor and manage of the network devices. This kind of network’s monitoring which is based on the graphical Web, is using some simple technologies, such as the network management protocol(SNMP), in this way, we can make the management of network more convenient, and more intuitive.The thesis firstly introduced the situation and the meaning of the research of the network monitoring systems, the author did the research of the network parameter acquisition technology, such as SNMP, IPMI, expounded the technical feasibility of establishing network monitoring system, and put forward the general design scheme of network monitoring system. Then the author discussed how the B/S architecture can bring the system stability, flexibility, and extensibility, and put forward a system architecture scheme based on the B/S pattern, and divided the whole system into 3 modules: the information collection module, the Web service module and the database. Through the detailed design of the three modules, the author solved three key problems of the system: distributed collecting a large amount of hardware information; displaying the m o n i t o r i n g i n f o r m a t i o n r e a s o n a b l y a n d e f f i c i e n t l y, s e t t i n g s t a b l e a n d reliable equipment alarm; generating database access for optimizing the redundant information. At the same time, the author also used the technology of dynamic graphics to improve the availability, effectively and interactively of system. The high security and high availability of the system which is based on the user-authority management is designed and completed by using the Spring security architecture scheme. Finally, the testing of the system was completed, and the result showed that the system is running stable, and improve the efficiency of the running.
