With the greater reliance on the network, it will be much more important to manage network devices. Since such devices may be distributed in different locations on the network, once a failure occurs during using, it will have a direct impact on the user's work and life. If the network devices can be remotely monitored in real time, when the devices go wrong, network managers can notify it in time, so they can get to know the fault location and to take timely repair.SNMP is a widely used computer network management protocol. It is a protocol based on TCP/IP application layer that facilitates the exchange of management information between network devices. It's simple and easily extensible. SNMP can manage all the devices on the network, and it includes management station, management agents, management information base.ASI monitoring equipment is used to monitor, alter and change the code signal in digital weird television network, and it's the best choice to solve the signal broadcasted.According to the ASI code device's character and communication protocol, the paper comes up with the idea that manages the device using network management and gives the solution based on SNMP. The solution uses RCM2200as hardware platform, and compiles MIB database and Agent software suitable for the equipment. Connect the device to the LAN or Internet, and use the management software to manage the device of the net remotely at the same time.The paper gives the detail introduction about embed hardware platform realization, MIB database design and agent module development, and gives the test solution to test the system. The test result indicates the communication between NMS and Agent is the same with our expectation, and verifies the effectiveness at the same time.
