The middle and lower grades of primary school is an important stage of vocabulary learning.However,traditional vocabulary teaching is facing such problems as inefficiency,too much dependence on teachers and so on.The application of information technology is a widely accepted method to improve the quality of education currently.The application of mobile teaching makes vocabulary learning interesting and provides rich exercises for learners,but it has some defects,including exercises designed mainly for test rather than teaching design,inadequate presentation of teaching objectives,single evaluation method and so on.In this thesis,contextual vocabulary teaching method and exercise design are combined,and primary school vocabulary teaching objectives are integrated into exercise design and performance evaluation to improve the effect of vocabulary teaching,which is presented through mobile tools to teachers and students.The author of this thesis completes the design and development of mobile application in contextual vocabulary learning,focusing on the design of the question bank and evaluation of learners' vocabulary ability.The status quo of mobile learning of vocabulary and the theoretical basis of contextual teaching are analyzed and its disadvantages and predicament are pointed in the first part.In addition,the evaluation methods of words and the demand of words learning are analyzed.Based on the analysis,relative contextual vocabulary teaching strategies are put forward,including the organizational strategy,exercise designing rules and the evaluation method of learners' vocabulary ability.This part is followed by the design and implementation of the mobile application of contextual vocabulary teaching,including the overall structure design,the main function module design,the database design,the main function module realization,and the testing and analysis.The validity of the system is proved by preliminary test.This thesis provides an effective tool for primary school vocabulary teaching,which connects teachers,students and teaching objectives.It helps teachers better understand the students' ability of words and the completion of teaching objectives,and guide students to take the initiative to learn words.lt has certain application value for improving vocabulary teaching effect.
