Due to the rapid development of information technology, more and more scientists to study Shortwave environment had a strong interest. Shortwave environment does not only have an impact on military personnel and weaponry, but also affect the performance of weapons and communication quality, that severely affected the army's combat capability and battlefield survivability.In the aspect of theory, the Shortwave channel simulator performance depends primarily on the merits of the theory of electromagnetic environment simulation model selection. The reconfigurable Shortwave channel simulator developed in this paper uses the world-recognized ITS model weighted big-scale fading model as the major simulating model.By demonstrating Shortwave channel simulator parameter and simulating channel models,this paper proved the validity and feasibility of the model and provided practical structure according to simulating results. The broadband reconfigurable Shortwave channel simulator implementation is based on Software Defined Radio (SDR), which enables real-time simulation,reconfiguration,and software upgrade features. According to the SDR features,this paper proposed the broadband reconfigurable Shortwave channel simulator hardware and software design and implementation, and demonstrated the methods of its implementation as well as the process of the software development to ensure the accuracy and reliability of this program. Finally, this paper tested the broadband reconfigurable Shortwave channel simulator developed here. By analyzing the testing results, we draw the conclusion that the complex Shortwave channel simulator can better simulate actual transmission shortwave band of the shortwave environment, meet the designing requirements and various technical indicators,and can achieve the effect as expected.
