A lot of domestic and foreign colleges and universities are currently doing researches and making developments about virtual campus roaming project,which generally needs a long development cycle and huge workload to do.This project does some researches in the field of three-dimensional virtual scene and interaction platform.This system can roam campus three-dimensional virtual scene and interactively access key information by the technique of VRP graphical interface,and it has really good performance in practice.So this system has great popularization and application value.This project does researches on developing the campus three-dimensional virtual scene of Heilongjiang Agricultural Engineering Vocational College.Using 3ds Max technique and VRP virtual reality platform,this author expatiates the research and development plan and the implementation of the three-dimensional virtual campus project.This author draws the topographic map using Auto CAD software to build the standard of three-dimensional field design,constructs the geometry models using the polygon mesh modeling technique and developments of the Max Script statement,and achieves the interaction function using the VRP platform.The concrete work of this project includes:collecting information of the buildings on the ground,three-dimensional modeling,texture mapping,collision detection,interaction platform system developing,local and network releasing.The functions such as 3-D visualization,3-D roaming,information inquiry and interactive operation are realized by a lot of techniques.The researches and development of this system are based on the simple and easy operation.At the same time I try my best to make the three-dimensional digital campus system have the features of low cost,high simulation degree and high efficiency.So that this system can be popularized and applied in the construction of digital campus and digital city further.The technical scheme of the project meets the high accuracy of the model and meet real-time rendering requirements.According to the set targets,system interaction test has been taken with common PC platform.The stochastic users' roaming operation on the system tests the modeling quality of three-dimensional virtual campus scene,and verifies the function of the system interaction platform.That provides a complete and efficient solution for the development of three-dimensional virtual campus.
