In recent years,with the development of modern communication system,communication system is also changing so much at home,its application is from small volume,low frequency,narrow band,short distance transmission to large capacity,high frequency,and even across the spectrum,broadband,longdistance transmission direction.These changes,in turn,has increasingly promoted perfect of communication infrastructure,that's also put forward higher and higher requirements of the related equipment for wireless communication undoubtedly.As an important component of the wireless signal transmitter,microwave power amplifier has the pivotal status,its performance merits will influences the quality of the whole communication system and the technical level directly.It is presented an application spectrum of 2 ~ 6 GHZ,and the output power for 40W's microwave power amplifier from the Angle of the technology of microwave power synthesis in this paper.This article main contribution is as follows:1.The communication system development present situation and the domestic and foreign research present situation of microwave power amplifier were investigated,the relevant technical indexes of microwave power amplifier was analysized,The implementation scheme of power amplifier was detailed analysized and demonstrated in this paper.2.The common power synthesis technology was analysezed and researched,a kind of broadband 3d B bridge applied to power divide/synthesis technology was designed based on the odd-even mode method,this structure has high isolation,high power capacity,good consistency,the method can be used to design the wider bandwidth power divider.3.The gain equalization technique was analysized and researched,and the change law were qualitatively analysized with the parameter's change of resonant branch and equilibrium curve.A suitable gain equalizer were designed to satisfy the power amplifier balanced demand based on resonance branchmatching method,and the gain flatness of the power amolifier was effectively improved.4.The power devider and gain equalizer were developed to PCB and tested,the power of the entire amplifier was tested,and finally the test results are presented.
