The thesis is a part of 921 project, which require us to realize a high power output amplifier at Ka band. The amplifier, has an output power over Iwatt and bandwidth of 500MHz,will be used on solid state radar transmitter. The article analysis quantities of waveguide-microstrip transitions which have different probe length and then summarize the fluctuation rule of distance between the short piston and prob along with the variation of microstrip prob. This rule, which has been tested in our experiments, can be useful in the technique design of waveguide-microstrip transitions at Ka band.Considering the analysis result of different kinds of bondwire inconnections,The three wire inconnections has been applied in our amplifier, which has little influence to our output power. At the same time, A common rule of charactistic of bondwire along with the wire space changment has been summarize .To resolve a series of technique problem caused by isolation resitance in power divider at Ka band,we use the CPW ^ CCPW transmission line and Ansoft-Serenade 8.7 engineering software to emulate a power divider at Ka band. The emulation result could satify the engineering demand, and provide a useful reference to realize new millimeter element via new type transmission line. The experiment result show that the output power of the amplifier has over Iwatt output power at 34GHz?5. 5GHz, which has satisfied the requirement of us.It can be applied on solid state radar transmitter.
