The laser rapid prototyping develops rapidly,with the characteristic of higher manufacture precision,high efficiency and low energy consumption.It can be found from the fundamentals of laser solid forming that laser-cladding is the foundation of it.The study of feed system dynamic behavior contributes greatly to improve the surface quality of processed product in the process of precision machining,especially for military and space products.The paper did thermal analysis for the feed system,considering the thermal state in the process.According to the constraining conditions in the actual situation,the study did free modal and constraint modal simulation analysis,and studied the positional accuracy of the feed system by experiment.The temperature change of the external environment is obtained through literature review.The thermal boundary conditions of the feed system was confirmed in terms of the heat transfer theory knowledge.The movement of friction heat was taken into consideration.The friction heat in real process was simulated by a moved heat resource accompanied with the system in the software of ANSYS,and temperature rise of the external environment was taken into consideration.Within the influence of heat source and air convection mentioned above,the thermal-structural coupling analysis was did for the guide rail,and acquired the temperature field distribution and thermal deformation in different time.Modal analysis of the system was done by ANSYS.Established contact pairs between contact surface in the software,in that way,made the linear guide and ball bearing,the slider and the ball,ball screw and ball,and uter nut and ball is with contact surface.Free modal and constraint modal analysis was did for them in the case with and without regard to any constraint.Test worktable is built for the study.On the basis of PMAC established the single spindle control system.And made PID+feedforward control for the servo motor,which was used to guarantee the dynamic and static performances of the motor.Besides,the positional accuracy of the feed system was measured by the grating ruler,in order to assure the position error of the system is within 10 units.
