With the superior performance,LTE(Long Term Evolution)system has become the mainstream technology in the post 3G era.LTE-Advanced as an enhanced version of LTE,real 4G technology,develops rapidly and becomes commercialized gradually with the wide participations and supports from equipment manufacturers and operators worldwide.In the mobile communication industry,terminal testing equipment plays a very important role in the research and development of the user equipment.The implementation of physical layer processes based on hardware co-processors,is able to liberate the processing ability of DSP cores,therefore increases the overall processing ability of the SPU,having a significant influence in improving the performance of terminal test equipment.This thesis studies the C66x series DSP Hardware Co-processor in the Signal Processing Unit(SPU),and apply it to the implementation of the physical layer processing of the terminal test equipment.It consists of two main parts:(1)Design and implementation of driver software of hardware co-processors,including packaging those logical functions,such as initialization,resource management and jobs,of Multicore Navigator,Bit Rate Co-processor(BCP)and Fast Fourier Transform Co-processor(FFTC)(2)Application of hardware co-processor in physical layer software of terminal test set,mainly focusing on channel coding of PDSCH(also Physical Downlink Shared Channel)accelerated by BCP and symbal generation of OFDM accelerated by FFTC in downlink,and decoding of SC-FDMA symbal and decoding of transform precoding in uplink.Verifying the correctness of the above 4 processes implemented based on the driver software in(1),and analyze their performance.The research results of this thesis have been applied to the LTE/LTE-A terminal test equipment,which have practical significance.
