China now is experiencing a glorious reformation in various areas, such as social structure, natural resources, domain structure and so on. The differentiations of class, population and organization have lead to fierce conflicts among interest groups. Kinds of crisis are inextricably interwoven together which works like a time bomb that would explode at any time and in any place.With the develop of democracy in our country, the sense of participation of audience is making a big progress。Besides, the newly sprouted medias such as microblog, BBS and blog have provided audience a more wider and more convenient flat to engage in criticizing social events.Then, what features would be demonstrated when people use the medias to engage in pushing forward public crisis, and what measures should we take to guide people to a right direction in resolving of public crisis. This paper would draw a conclusion from studying the case of Japan earthquake on 11st March and analyzing the features of Qiangguo BBS and sina microblog.This paper is composed of four parts.In the first part, the objects of this paper and some key concepts would be explained, including"new medias","public crisis","participation of audience"and so on.The second part would be a case study ---the 3ï¹'11 Japan Earthquake. Before the case study, there would be a comprehensive analysis of the case itself and situations triggered by the disaster, including the develop of the case, our country's reaction, the attitudes of Netizens and mainstream medias agendas。And then, the paper would deal with the contents in Qiangguo BBS and sina microblog, and summarize the differences between them and the reasons which lead to the differences.The third part would analyze the performances of audience from four aspects: the carnival of audience participation; the social deviance of audience participation; the function of opinion leaders in audience participation and the humanism communication in audience participation. The forth part would summarize the problems and defects in audience participation,and would talk about how to lead audience to publish appropriate comments from 3 aspects: agenda-setting, media literacy of audience and legal supervision of network.
