Laser ranging is a new technology,its appearance makes the field of industrial measurement has been better development.Compared with the traditional industrial measurement technology,laser ranging technology has non-contact,high precision,high speed and so on.Therefore,laser ranging technology has been used very widely in industrial measurement applications,such as topographic survey,vehicle positioning,etc.,however,there is a contradiction between the accuracy and measurement range of laser ranging technology.Based on the laser triangulation technology,this dissertation improves and implememnts the laser ranging system which is suitable for indoor measurement,which makes the system still have high precision on the basis of taking a large range.The main work of this dissertation is as follows:(1)In this dissertation,an improved indoor laser ranging system based on laser triangulation is proposed.This system proposes a segmented ranging technology with double CCD for high precision and large range of indoor distance measurement,so as to overcome the limitation of traditional laser triangulation technology and precision and range.(2)This dissertation designs the hardware module and the driving timing of the laser ranging system.The hardware circuit part mainly includes: FPGA circuit module,CCD photoelectric conversion module and AD sampling module,we use Altium Designer to draw hardware circuit board.We use the Verilog language to design CCD chip and AD chip driver,configure the AD chip mode of operation,and we use Modelsim simulation software to verify the correct timing of the drive.(3)In this dissertation,the center of gravity laser beam center position algorithm is implemented.We compared a variety of laser spot center position algorithm,decided to use the Center of gravity method which is the smallest interference by the outside world method.We designed the Nios II soft-core processor,and then processed the CCD signal by Center of gravity method to get the location of the spot center of mass,thereby we can calculate the measurement distance.(4)Based on the hardware and software platform of the improved indoor laser ranging system,the experimental test of the system is carried out,the error data of the measured experimental data are analyzed,and the corresponding improvement measures are put forward.Through the measurement and analysis,the system in the absence of precision machining,the accuracy reached centimeter level,the range reached to 2 meters.Compared with the traditional laser triangulation system,the improved indoor laser ranging system is extended without loss of precision,to meet the needs of indoor distance measurement.
