Increasingly serious corruption problems in rear area caught the news media's attention during the Anti-Japanese war.Under the news control policy in wartime,the media and the government were always conflict between freedom and control.So news media needed to use various strategies to hedge the risks of check and seizure when they reported corruption problems.At the early period of the Anti-Japanese war,most of the media showed understanding and toilerance to the expression space which was compressed and news check control means.However,with the progress of the war and the change of the international environment,the media disgreed with the practice of government.Ta kung Pao which was on behalf of the media changed on the scale of news report and commentary.And this kind of change reflected the return from "a soldier of speech community" to "the uncrowned king".News reports are the process which journalists subjectively present objective facts,therefore,the media has its position and orientation.Both from the perspective of journalism and considerations based on market share,most media's attitudes toward corruption problems were negative,but on the basis of their different positions,the reports and the guidance of public opinion had very big difference.Besides,media often enveloped in the power struggles and used public opinion to attack others by corruption cases.
