As an important part of industrial gases, hydrogen is widely used in aviation, electronics, metallurgy, chemical industry and other industrial fields. Hydrogen generating system by water eletrolysis has the characteristics of simple technology, non-polluting, high purity hydrogen and so on, has become one of the important hydrogen production technologies. However, it is not ignored by the researchers that the stability and safety of the operation for hydrogen generating system equipments, the key is to improve its technology and automation control technology.At present, with the further mature industrial control tecgnology, the control system of hydrogen generating system by water eletrolysis is generally realized by PLC + PC that the equipment data is collected by PLC, configuration software and communication technology configuration upper monitoring system are applied.The paper firstly analyzed the working principle, technological flow and equipment technical parameter control requirements of hydrogen generating system by water eletrolysis, then formed the project design scheme, the two communication modes to communicate respectively between the PC for control room and duty room are used. The Siemens S7-200 PLC series of hardware is chosen as the lower process controller, the WinCC is chosen as PC monitoring software.Then, the upper monitoring screen is created and designed by Siemens WinCC configuration software, and using WinCC functions forms the system screen switching, popups, alarm, log and other common functions. Through the OPC technology, MPI and industrial Ethernet communication, using Siemens PC Access communication software and Micro/WIN programming software, the system network communication configuration is completed, the system of data exchange is realized.Through testing and actual production operation, the monitoring system for hydrogen generating system by water eletrolysis based on WinCC configuration software run stable. Bying monitor and control of the monitor system firstly achieves the effective regulation of electric energy, and promotes the efficient use of energy; secondly, it can strengthen the function, simplify operation and save manpower. It largely reduces the times of contacting between personnel and equipment, improves the safety of personnel and hydrogen-related places. It has good practicability and economy in the industry.
