In this thesis, we made an overview on the history and the latest achievements of industrial network and compared Industrial Ethernet with DCS and Fieldbus, two other popular network control systems. We also introduced the history and the development of Industrial Ethernet and made a discussion on the advantages and disadvantages of Industrial Ethernet for industrial control. Industrial network control system based on Ethernet has many advantages, so as high transmission rate, good reliability, easy maintain, remote transmission, mutual operation and so on. With the extension of Internet and the advancement of communication rate of Ethernet and the development of exchange technology, the industrial control system network based on Ethernet is supported in the world and developed promptly. So the industrial control system network based on Ethernet is development tendency of industrial control.From the key technology of industrial Ethernet, this paper researches some shortcomings that are possessed by common Ethernet, such as common transmission uncertainty, power supply problem of field equipment, maneuverability of traditional Ethernet equipment, essence security and long-distance transmission problem, this paper importantly discusses the problem of remote transmission and the problem of how to advance the real-time and security and the reason of indeterminacy of industrial Ethernet, then We use full double-duplex exchange Ethernet technology for solving time and certainty problem, using exchange hub for broadening network bandwidth. Using leisure line of connection cable supply work power of field equipment to realize power supply for field bus. Using lower-consume technology and essence anti-explode technology resolve the security problem of field equipment. Advances an ideal solution of industrial Ethernet. According to the demanding of network support system in the domain of industrial control, and referring to the design principle of commercial Ethernet, this paper designs structure of industrial Ethernet which is based on delaminated structure and afford a communication platform which is secure and stabile and mutual operation for industrial control system, at the same time designs a remote monitoring system of water process whichis based on Modbus/TCP industrial Ethernet. This remote monitor system has passed test and is running in some firepower plant.iFIX is chosen to develop the remote monitoring system of water process for its advantages. As the water process demands more dependability in power production many kinds of redundant measures are taken on hardware to insurance the safety of the system. This system has already succeeded in running for a long time. The system can offer basic assurance for safety production and equipment steadily running. It has created enormous economic benefits and social benefits for the enterprise.
