Analysis On Cross-Cultural Communication Mode Of Community News In American Chinese Newspaper

Globalization accelerates the communication and development between different culture.As Chinese cultural successor abroad,Chinese newspaper makes much sense to cross-cultural communication.On one hand,Chinese newspaper makes readers know more about different culture and makes readers appreciate their own culture and be a good successor.Chinese newspaper constructs common meaning language environment and forms shared meaning,helping readers construct cross-cultural identity as soon as possible and helping them join a new society.On the other hand,cross-cultural activities of Chinese newspaper construct America's image and China's image,helping change stereotypes between two countries.As a result,Chinese culture communicates better to America and American culture communicates better to Chinese in America.This paper will analyze cross-cultural phenomena of community news in American Chinese newspaper in two aspects,behavior mode and cognize mode of cross-cultural communication.This paper will combine cross-cultural theories,especially analyzing four aspects with literature research method,content analysis method and field observation technique.The first aspect is analyzing cross-cultural phenomena in American Chinese newspaper in the process of news gathering,writing and editing.The second is analyzing characters of cross-cultural content in newspaper.The third is how to solve problems in the process of cross-cultural communication.The last is how to improve cross-cultural communication.I hope that these conclusion can make sense to the cultural communication between China and America as a bridge to the benefit of communication and immigrants' life.This research is special because it is micro analysis that combines cross-cultural communication theories with journalism practice.Besides,this research adopts field observation technique which is more persuasive.I hope that this research can make sense to later researches on cross-cultural communication or Chinese newspaper abroad.
