Chinese drama has already got great improvement on quality and quantity.We can truly say that in cross-cultural communication Chinese drama has won some great achievements.For instance,the drama Empresses in the Palace and Nirvana in Fire are the represents of the outstanding Chinese dramas which have got great influence worldwide Among them,costume drama and Kungfu drama are the most popular.But we should see the export imbalance in quantity,districts and themesSince the year 2010 with the development of new media,the platform for the cross-cultural communication of Chinese drama has been diversified.And thanks to the progress of network novels,Chinese drama has got more and more themes and forms.In order to analyze the cultural factors and propose effective suggestions,this research used relevant theoretical analysis of cross-cultural communication like cultural origins and cultural similarities,Hofstede's cultural dimension theory,culture of the Ohari window effect and assimilation and dissimilation theory in translationThrough the research,I found that collectivism in Chinese culture led to the flattening of the characters and the lack of innovative spirit of the leading role in the drama.And the development of male degree in culture makes partial dramas show the family and the social contradiction excessively and lack the typical Oriental tender image.The development of the network novels has expanded the open area in the process of cross-cultural communication of Chinese dramas,but also has made foreign audiences misunderstand the logic of stories.As to deal with these problems,we can make good use of the integration of different cultural factors,grasp the tide of development of network novels and new media platform and cultivate a great wealth of internationalized celebrities and professional production teams.
