Research On The Publication Of Chinese Original Light Novel From The Perspective Of Cross-cultural Communication

Light novel originated in Japan and is also called ACGN with animation,cartoon and game.It is a part of secondary industry chain that can not be ignored.In Japan,light novel has matured after decades of development of commercial system.As the source of IP,light novel adapted animation,film and television works are quite common.Because the animation adapted from Japanese excellent light novel works has a great influence on Chinese audiences,domestic animation fans have heard a lot of light novel works,but this is limited to the works created by Japanese authors,but the light novel books and magazines published in China are difficult to produce a greater response.As an exotic genre of light novel,the process of localization in China is not smooth.This paper will sort out the development process of light novel from Japan to China,and discuss its development status from four aspects:serial periodicals,books,digital publishing and informal publishing.According to the current development situation of light novel and the development environment of content industry,the original light novel in China still has a bright future,that is,light novel itself is convenient for IP development,and the network literary platform provides a good carrier and development model for the digitalization of light novel.However,the development of Chinese original light novel is also facing some problems.First of all,from the characteristics of light novel itself,in the process of publication and distribution,its genre is still not clearly defined,and even its characteristics are increasingly blurred or weakened,which is unfavorable for a literary genre.In addition,as a cross-cultural literary genre,it is still obviously influenced by Japanese light novel,and to a certain extent,it is limited by the development of localization.Finally,the publishing process of Chinese books is more complex,and the original environment still needs to be optimized.On the premise of affirming that there are still opportunities for the development of Chinese original light novel,this paper puts forward some concrete and feasible suggestions on the development of light novel from three aspects:development mode,content exploration and publicity and marketing.
