As the new image compression standard, JPEG 2000 was introduced by International Organization for Standardization(ISO) and International Telecommunication Union(ITU-T) in 2001. Compared with JPEG, it has a superior code quality. However, JPEG 2000 has a more complicated decoder than JPEG, which discourages the performance of JPEG2000.In the following project, drones, with the help of the compression of ADV202(compression chip of JPEG2000), receives primitive images and sends back to ground stations. Based on ADV202 then, the original system decodes JPEG 2000 data strings. There exist some problems in the decoding process, such as the high cost, flexibility limitations, instability in docking systems and so on.This paper tries to solve these problems by modifying original code system, software decoding of Telemetry data and Complex data of JPEG2000. We using dual-core parallel processors, fast decoding of JPEG2000 is implemented. Finally, decoded images will be displayed in several remote computers by Multicast.The main contents of this paper are shown as following:1. Improve processing methods of ground receiving, decoding and system display, enhance system flexibility.2. Design and implement a software decoding based on dual-core or multi-core parallel processors on JPEG2000 coding data.3. Realize the transfer of decoding images from servers to multi-monitor display.
