Design And Implementation Of Virtual Campus Based On 3DS MAX And UNITY 3D

With the increasingly maturity of 3D virtual reality human-computer interaction technology, developing 3D simulation roaming system has become an engineering application field of practical value.The present virtual campus works, most indicate the campus facilities locationinformation to their visitors by plan or static three-dimensional stereogram withwords explanation. This thesis aims to apply the virtual reality interaction technology to virtual campus roaming system, to provide an immediate interactive way to browse through the virtual campus, which not only adds process experience andinterest to campus browsing, but also helps visitors to have a real understanding of the campus and its environment through a simple operation.This thesis based on Quanzhou Normal University Software College, depending on the actual use of the 3D modeling tool, 3D MAX, to build a campus main body model, establishes a virtual roaming system on the basis of using UNITY 3D game engine platform.The development of this system has experienced the collection of basic material, the establishment of the virtual scene, including the main body construction, such as lab building, teaching building, dormitory, etc., the optimization work of the corresponding models, texturing and baking of mapping, route planning of the roaming system, the production of the interactive animation and so on.In the system designing process, the author first carried on investigation and analyzed the demand, and then made functions planning before the production and test of relating scene. Through a variety of trial implementation and comparative analysis in choosing tools for software development, this thesis recommends to enhance the feasibility of the development of virtual campus system by the combination of the 3D Max and Unity 3D.Especially the Unity 3 d support including IOS, ANDROID, PC, XBOX and WEBPS3 fast release of multiple platforms. Late for virtual campus system to move the promotion has provided a broad space for development.
