Research On The Establishment Method Of Virtual Campus Roam System

Virtual campus roaming system is that GIS and VR technology make the specific application in the digital campus. As the core platform of Digital Campus construction, the virtual campus roaming system can be associated with specific applications. At the same time, the system also has a function that make the campus propagate to the outside world, It also gives ordinary users a good platform to know the campus Intuitively, so that Users can visualize a more comprehensive understanding of the campus, visit the various buildings query location.This paper treats the campus of Liaoning Technical University as the research object, which make the in-depth discussion on the basic theories and technology methods ,those based on three-dimensional information space software. The results show that this is a new and viable method of building the virtual campus. This paper mainly probes the following aspects:(1), The digital photography technology to generate DEM. This paper use the digital photography technology (JX-4C) acquire terrain DEM, and extract the feature point information of the main buildings, compile program by C# to generate bone line of the main buildings, which provide data information to build the 3D modeling of topography and surface features.(2), Three-dimensional modeling. In this paper, Internet and loaded into memory, browsing speeds of the Model file are determined by its size, so the model file size is reduced possibly in the condition with not affecting the model clarity. The bone lines of the main building are inserted into GoogleEarth SketchUp to realize their modeling. The method of "partial using really texture" is applied for the texture added of the model, and then converted into files which can be read by X3D. Small Model can be downloaded in SketchUp Library. Sandbox tools in SketchUp complete terrain modeling. X3D accomplish the whole model of the environment, and splices the model series.(3), Systems integration and implementation of each function. In this paper, The interactive mechanism of X3D is used to achieve the function that users can make the basic manipulation of the virtual scene features in the roaming process, while taking advantage of JavaScript, ActiveX, SQL technology to realize the web publishing of the system and the functions that the users operate the system through the web interfacee.
