In recent years,with the gradual enhancement of computer 3D processing capability and the appearance of the low cost sensing display components,the virtual reality technique has been developed rapidly and used widely,which shows an attractive prospect for people.However,in virtual reality,the character design and the scenario implementation are the basics and guarantee for the technology application,their status are beyond doubt.In this thesis,on the basis of analyzing the application of virtual reality technology,based on an instance of the park roaming project Unity 3D platform,some key technical issues are researched,which include rapid modeling in virtual reality,making skeletal animation,finding out the equilibrium point of the graphic quality and the rendering speed.With the help of tools such as Autodesk 3ds Max,Photoscan and Iclone,by Cross-platform transplantation and processing,the thesis builds a set of thinking framework,thus quickly realizing 3D reconstruction of characters and scene models in virtual scene,solved the problem of virtual character action design,This thesis elaborates on the rapid realization of the model and action design of different platform.Through the application of the above software,developers can quickly complete the setting of characters and scene models in the scene,it provides strong technical support for the user to interact and use in the virtual reality environment.At the same time,the problem of 3D model building in large-scale complex virtual roaming scene is optimized in this thesis.It mainly solves the problem that the number of triangles in the modeling is too large and the rendering speed of the Unity 3D engine is too slow and the frame rate real time can not be guaranteed.Based on the detailed analysis of the traditional level-of-detail model generation algorithm,an adaptive LOD model generation algorithm is proposed.The new algorithm finds a better balance between the quality of graphics rendering and the speed of rendering.The new algorithm finds a better balance between the drawing quality and the drawing speed to ensure that users can maximize the frame rate of drawing,reduce the cost of the graphics card and memory,under the premise of obtaining the sense of authenticity and immersion.On the other hand,the immersion,authenticity and real-time interaction of the virtual scene are continuously enhanced.
