Xinjiang is the largest area of planting cotton, but80%of cotton and cotton-products aresold to the mainland market because of the less cotton-consumption in the local market, thecotton-logistics management needs higher requirements. Relatively, Xinjiang is later indeveloping logistics-industry, so now there are lots of obvious problems in cotton-logisticsmanagement, such as losing cotton packet and damaged, lower operational efficiency, thoseproblems need to be improved urgently. As a new kind of automatic identification technology,the RFID technology injects vitality for logistics industry, combined with LMIS, RFIDtechnology will bring a innovation storm for logistics industry.In this paper, I do the following specific works in connection with RFID application ofcotton logistics management in Xinjiang:First, the current condition of cotton-logistics and the third-party logistics at home andabroad is concluded in this thesis, meanwhile, the key technology related to the informationsystems is elaborated and summarized. Based on the detailed study of RFID technology, theauthor proposes a theory which combines RFID technology and the management of cottonlogistics.Second, analyzing the current market situation of cotton-logistics service in Xinjiang, aswell as the operation procedure of cotton logistics section and information systems,someissues have be concluded. Based on the demand for informatization and generalunderstanding of current status, relevant demand for the application of RFID in themanagement system of Xinjiang cotton-logistics is analyzed.At last, based on the initial design of the RFID management system of cotton logistics,which concludes structure design and module design, this paper has put forward the specificapplication solutions, including equipment selection and the construction of systemenvironment, what’s more, this paper has made functional design for the key part of thesystem.
