Design And Implementation Of Logistics Tracking Device Based On BD/GPS Technology

Logistics tracking is a tool used to track the internal flow of goods in logistics enterprise, including transportation tracking and goods flow tracking. An excellent logistics tracking system can make the transportation, sorting, distribution and all aspects of Logistics system under control.With the development of the science, Global Navigation Satellite System and Radio-frequency identification has been large-scale used in Logistics Management, which resulted with the Logistics automation and information logistics. However, most of the logistics tracking system used in logistics enterprise are based on the Global Position System, which was created and realized by the U.S. Department of Defense. So, when it comes to the military logistics, something like weapon and emergency materials, there are much of risks for information leakage. On the other hand, RFID technology, which is used to identify products and track the goods flow, because of computing and networking have special requirements, can be only used in fixed location, it can’t do anything more in mobile environment like truck.With the use of BD/GPS dual-mode technology and RFID technology, this logistics tracking device can track the logistics transportation and goods flows at the same time, that means, lower cost, and more efficient.In this paper, the logistics tracking device based on the Android platform, using high-performance ARM Cortex-A8based core S5PV210processor, while integrated wireless module, BD/GPS module and RFID module, you can have map, navigation, position tracking, also you can identify the RFID tags in goods.The logistics tracking device aimed at some major defects and problems of the current logistics tracking system, which has immeasurable and broad market prospect.
