News and data have a natural link, communication and technology are inseparable.The connotation of data is gradually expanding and communication technologies are developing fast. With the term of "big data" began to spread in Internet filed in 2009, and gradually infiltrated into journalism, the relationship between the news and data gradually began to change. Big Data and Big Data technologies driving the innovation of journalism,then "Data Journalism" has become a hot topic in academia and media industry.This paper explores the Data Journalism how to generate and evolve at different times and in different technical background, while at the perspective of theory of Media Ecology, explores the intrinsic motivation of origin, development and evolution of Data Journalism,besides analyzed and discussed the interaction between Data Journalism and society.Firstly, author summarized the development of Media Ecology Theory and its connotation, then discussed the necessary theoretical perspectives of Media Ecology in detail, which could be theoretical support for this article; followed the concepts of the two terms of "Data Journalism" and "big Data Journalism" be made a clear discrimination;secondly, at the guidance of Media Ecology theory,the evolution of Data Journalism has a clear description; thirdly, based on the perspective of technology and culture of Media Ecology theory, author build interactive mode of Data Journalism and Society, and analyzed the interaction of Data Journalism and the socio-cultural environment; finally,author explained the significance of the interaction model, and depict the prospect of Data Journalism,which explore path for future development of China's Data Journalism.
