Design And Implementation Of Rights Management On Smart Remote Meter Reading System Based On RBAC

Smart Remote Meter Reading is an automatic meter reading technology, which combined with computer and networks. It can reduce errors by manual meter reading, improve management efficiency. At the same time, an efficient rights management system can bring lots of convenience. Access Control is an important means of network security protection in the network resources to prevent illegal access. Users can according to their own permissions to access the resources, unauthorized resources can not be accessed. Access control can protect the enterprise information resources effectively, improve the efficiency of enterprise management.Traditional access control includes Discretionary Access Control and Mandatory Access Control, but there are obvious shortcomings in the two traditional access control. Role-based access control(RBAC) has introduced the important concept of "role". RBAC can map the user into roles which defined by the system in advance, and then grant the access right to the corresponding role. control avoid the disadvantages of the traditional access control flexibility, reduce the complexity of authorization management and systems management overhead.By combining intelligent remote meter reading system, this paper use the Spring, Struts and Hibernate framework which base on role-based access control. It designs and realizes a component which can provide the full user authentication and authorization rights management. The paper completes the following work: first, in terms of access control, this paper has systematically studied access control technology and the three basic access control technology. Then it compares three kinds of access control technology, points out their advantages and disadvantages. This paper expounds the advantages of the role based access control in WEB system. Second, the system has implemented management component function module by use the Spring + Struts + Hibernate technology. Due to lots of framework can be integrated by Spring framework, the implementations of business layer can be replaced by lots of framework. Third, Combine with intelligent remote meter reading system, this paper has integrated the rights management component into the system to implement access control functions.The permissions management component which designed by this paper has been used in remote meter reading management system. The practice tests show that the system has good versatility and security.
