Research On Promoting The Social Service Ability Of The Library In Higher Vocational Colleges

It's so hot issue that the library of higher vocational colleges providing local service in recent years. The vocational colleges have been developed obviously with the rapid socioeconomic development currently. The Ministry of Education has enacted the law < Advices on improving the teaching quality of Higher Vocational Education overall > relatively in the early 20 th century, in which clearly showed that our higher vocational colleges have the duty and also the responsibility to serve the local social and economic development. So, the library in higher vocational college is responsible for the development of the local economy for conforming to the development of the new era and promoting the progress of themselves. The main core of the public library service is to serve the local, but due to the expansion of the scale of Higher Vocational College Library with rich contents and characteristics of collection, “for local social services “has been put up as an indicator in the evaluation of University Library. It also represents the university library to expand its range of services, from only for college students to the public.This paper which has been divided into four parts is on the research of Higher Vocational College Library related issues about improving the ability of social services. The first part includes the background and purpose, the status of higher vocational colleges for the social service and the method and innovation of the research. In the second part, it includes the concept of social service and the correlative factors which influence the social service ability of Higher Vocational Colleges. In the third part, it includes the general situation of the higher vocational college and the library which has been selected as case, the diagnoses of the social service and the inevitability and the feasibility analysis for social services of the higher vocational college. In the last part, it is about the strategies and thinking for social service of higher vocational college. By means of the current analysis on the social service of the higher vocational colleges both here and aboard and questionnaire survey of people of every walk of life locally, at the same time the regional characteristics of the college has been selected, I have developed some solutions for enhancing the service capability and increasing responsibility of the higher vocational colleges in creating a scholarly society for local and social.
