The Services Of The Higher Vocational Colleges’ Library That Aims To Meet The Information Needs Of The Development Center

The model for “school-enterprise cooperation” and “combination of production with teaching” of higher vocational colleges has extended range of the library services object. The services for the school-resident enterprise has been put on the agenda since enterprise staff becomes a part of users of the higher vocational colleges’ library. For the needs for information of the enterprise’s staff are not the same with the teaching and research of the college, frequently, the library services of the higher school college can not meet the needs of enterprise. How to meet the information needs of the enterprise’s staff becomes to a question for the higher vocational college’s library to consider about.It’s a good idea to drop the theory of characterized service into the library services for the school- resident enterprises. Meanwhile, more chances of face to face communication are created for vocational colleges’ library and these enterprises since the foundation of the college animation industry Development Center in the Information Engineering Vocational College’s campus. Through the study of characterized service theory and characterized library theory, the author thinks that the former is more suitable than the latter to be used for guiding the vocational colleges library’s service to the enterprise.The services for the enterprise’s staff are not in the range the general work of the vocational college library whose service objects majorly include teachers and students of the school, thus it belongs to the scope of characterized service.Currently, the college library has started embedded service for the development center, however, the effectiveness is unsatisfactory.The author found that the main reasons are the lack of propaganda for the library resources, the backward library resources and backward service mode, having no time to go to the library for the enterprise staff. The above phenomenon’s appearing was due to the lacking of the library’s characteristic services. The unites of the characteristic services including the characteristics of the library users, the characteristics ways of the library services, the characteristics contents of the library services and the modern methods of the library services. Combine with development center resident enterprises, the author went through the respective analysis of these characteristic services and conducted thorough investigation to the development center resident enterprises based on the library’s characteristic service experience before. By taking the reference of the Integrated Information Service Station theory, the author put forward a imagine of building a integrated information service station for the development center. The building of the service station mode is also analyzed from 4 aspects, namely the integration of characteristic information, the integration of modern technology, the integration of characteristic service, the integration of staff. At last, from the point of view of long-term development, the marketing plans for both information station library and entity library are put forward.
