Design And Implementation Of Assets Management Information System Of A Research & Development Center

Modern enterprises continue to grow; the number and price of fixed assets increase accordingly, thus increasing the difficulty of management. Information technology has become a mainstream trend of asset management. Most domestic companies are beginning to use software system for asset management. But different departments use, manage and maintain device respectively. Information cannot be synchronized or shared in time, resulting in "islands of information" and other issues.The main objective of this project is to solve the "information island" problem and put forward a comprehensive asset management solution. On the basis of analysis of management status, need and work flow, three management modules are designed-- fixed asset management, asset maintenance, and project management. This project gets the main three modules together by data sharing, project transformation and work-order flow. Thus, an assets management information platform which including the process management and maintenance plan is established, through which all kinds of information about the assets are communicated and shared among all relevant departments and people timely.This comprehensive management platform solves the problem of "islands of information", it achieves timely data synchronization and full sharing. Delays of use, delays of maintenance and wrong decisions which are because the data is not synchronized are reduced. The accuracy and efficiency of asset management decisions are improved. It also improves management efficiency and reduced the human and financial cost of management.
