Electronic Fetal Monitoring(EFM) can judge fetal status, detect the occurrence of fetal distress, and contributes to perinatal morbidity and mortality reduction. However, EFM faces with series of problems, such as subjectivity analysis, inconvenient detection and shortage of detection time, and perhaps long-time ultrasound affect fetal development. Fetal heart rate(FHR) monitoring based on fetal electrocardiogram(ECG) has many advantages such as high detection accuracy, meeting the demond of detection in early pregnancy, 24-h monitoring, etc. To solve the problems above, thus a kind of remote fetal monitoring software system is proposed for real-time and 24-h monitoring, adopting fetal ECG fetal heart monitor based on fetal ECG, in order to enhance realtime abilities, to extend the monitoring period, and to achieve home remote applications and automate parametric analysis.Firstly, the framework.of entire software project was built on the basis of demand analysis which includes the basic elements and functional requirements. Specifically, monitoring system includes pregnant client, server software and central monitoring station software, and the core functional requirements for the system are data transminssion, graphic display and parameter analysis. Further technical route was set up by three steps including demand analysis, technical solutions and implementation, and the ultimate goal is to build a mature and stable monitoring system step by step.In the aspect of data management and transmission, analysis was made for the data cotentents in the system and the data transfer direction and determination was further made for the key technologies of data management and transfer, including a clear data management and transfer of key technologies, containing Bluetooth, network transmission, database storage and twisted server frame. It was conducted that the detailed desing of Bluetooth transmission control logic, network transmission control logic, and data management and transmission implementation in database and clients.For automated analysis of physiological parameters, algorithms of fetal monitoring parameters analysis was designed based on the definition of fetal parameters and with reference to the needs of clinicians, and was further realized for automated analyzition. The parameters above consist of FHR baseline analysis, FHR alarm, acceleration times, cardiac cycle analysis, short variability and acceleration/deceleration capacity.The last part studied applications implementation in pregnant client as well as central monitoring station software based on the analysis of the key technologies. Implementation process is divided into three areas, namely, functional module division, the main business processes, and achieve results. Finally,It is realized that a real-time, 24-hour, remote fetal monitoring software system was realized which integrates function of automated physiological parameters analysis, remote monitoring, alarm and so on, meeting the monitoring needs of pregnants and doctors simultaneously.
