The application software and technology are developing towards to the information integration based on Web and Internet/Intranet since the categories of the on site process control device are enlarging and the user's growing needing for the system integration. To satisfy the plants' needing for crossing different platforms and different layers, OPC Foundation designs and publishs the specification OPC XML-DA based on Web service technology. It is developed for the communication of different platforms and the applications based on internet. It makes the integration of control system in plant and enterprise information management system.In this paper I do the research of the technology product automation and the information integration .For most control devices have the standard interface of OPC DA server. A middle server is designed based on the specification OPC DA and OPC XML-DA .The OPC server is wrapped to OPC XML server. The two interfaces exist cosistent .It makes it true the remote monitor of the plant data.The main work and creativity list as below1. Analyse the feasibility of developing the middle server based on the analying ofthe OPC DA specification and OPC XML-DA specification.2. Develop the middle server .Update the OPC server to OPC XML server.3. Discuss the safety issues of the middle server.4. Discuss the real-time character of the middle server .Analyze the reason of delay.5. The openness of the middle server.6. The middle server supplies the strong foundation to the further development of OPC XML DA server.7. It completes the basic enterprise integration.8. Successfully applied in the configuration software of Zheda zhongzi integrated company.
