Eugenics is of great concern to every family.Fetal monitoring can help us find the abnormal condition in the process of fetal growth instantly and adopt medical treatment efficiently.Therefore, it is very necessary. Currently, Cardiotocography(CTG) is the most common fetal monitoring method to evaluate the health status of the fetus through the analysis of fetal heart rate(FHR), uterine and fetal movement. However, CTG has big subjectivity and high false positive.And the technical means that have been adopted in FHR monitoring also exist many disadvantages. For example, the system is too complex and too large for pregnant woman to carry. Hence, it is not conducive to long-term monitoring. This paper proposes to record maternal abdominal signals and then extract fetal ECG(f ECG) signal to monitor FHR. This method makes the system much simpler, smaller, and wearable, which meets the needs of long-term wearing monitoring.The main contents of this paper are as follow:(1) The paper collects the technical methods mainly used by present CTG in the fetal monitor aspect and then points out some shortcomes exist in these technical methods. This paper proposes to record maternal abdominal signals and then extract fetal ECG(f ECG) signal to monitor FHR. Finally, the paper will make a comparison between the present CTG and the proposed method.(2) The paper shows the design of wearable fetal monitoring device. Using non-invasive method, the electrode is attached to the abdomen of pregnant women, and records the aliasing signals(a ECG) from the abdomen of pregnant women, which include the acquisition of mother ECG signal(m ECG), fetal electrocardiogram(f ECG) and noise(NOISE). Through amplifying, filtering, sampling, aliasing signals complete data transmission. In order to realize the goal of wearable, various measures are taken in the design of hardware and software to reduce the hardware size, system power consumption, and to enhance endurance.(3) The paper studies the extraction algorithm of fetal electrocardiogram(f ECG) and fetal heart rate(FHR).The paper proposes to remove EMG, the frequency noise and m ECG so as to extract f ECG; to test the interval of RR wave detection, and then calculate the fetal heart rate(FHR). Extraction algorithm and software implementation of f ECG will be the researchfocus.f ECG is weak, and contains a lot of noise. Compared with the present mature fetal ECG extraction algorithm, the paper proposes to use Fast ICA algorithm that meet the features of the system, to extract fetal ECG signal.(4) The paper designs application software that used in Android intelligent mobile phone.Wearable device of fetal monitoring will send fetal ECG data to the APP mobile phone through the Bluetooth wireless communication. In that way, fetal monitoring data and curve can be displayed on the mobile phone.
