Radar transmitter is an important part of the radar system, its structure is complex, and it is difficult to maintain. Therefore, in order to ensure the stable and reliable in the test mission, it is very important to monitor the status of the radar transmitter in real time and fault diagnosis timely. At present, the single pulse radar transmitter uses the PLC to realize the control and protection of radar transmitter which used aerospace measurement and control area of our country. The operator diagnoses according to the fault indication, which means a single, and fault diagnosis is difficult. In this paper, through the study of single pulse radar transmitter of a transmitter, the analysis of basic structure, signal characteristics and the common faults, design of fault diagnosis technology and virtual instrument technology and Realization of a radar transmitter state monitoring and fault diagnosis system. In this paper, the main research contents are as follows.(1) Analysis and design the overall of the single pulse radar transmitter system, put forward the overall design scheme of the radar transmitter condition monitoring and fault diagnosis system, including condition monitoring module, fault diagnosis module and Lab VIEW platform to achieve.(2) The study on single pulse signal parameters, the key parts of radar transmitter characteristics, acquisition and analysis processing, fault alarm and detection of signal data storage using suitable sensors and software, to achieve real-time monitoring of radar transmitter.(3) The research on the transmitter module and the structure characteristics and failure mode, using the framework and generative rules combining way to complete the design of knowledge base, inference engine design uses forward reasoning framework based on rules.(4) Design and implementation of status monitor and fault diagnosis platform of the Radar Transmitter based on Lab VIEW, including login interface of the system, data acquisition, state monitoring, data management, fault diagnosis.Finally, the deficiencies and the aspects of the proposed system, which should be continuously researched in future, have been summarized.
