The management of power industry to data collection and transmission means have become increasingly demanding, the original meter model can not meet the demand. The current method of meter reading make a lot of trouble to meter reading personnel and the user, wireless meter reading can save resources, improve the accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency. Planning for the proposed smart grid and high demand for smart meters, research and designed a meter collector wireless communications network, using ad hoc network technology to build wireless meter reading network to improve the current situation of wireless meter reading network.This paper analyzes the demand for wireless meter reading in information collection and processing, according to the analysis put forward the integral design concept and the design scheme.Then studied and design the hardware and software of the wireless communication modules in wireless meter reading system, using STM32F103 as the processor, and Si4463 wireless communication chips as a wireless transceiver to design the wireless communication module and write a corresponding program to achieve the wireless transceiver tasks of mart metering. According to the characteristics of wireless communication and reference the wireless ad hoc network technology, the article also describes the networking process of a meter reading wireless ad hoc network, developed the ad hoc network communication protocol and software implementation.Finally, complete the relevant tests, the results show that the design of the system accurately completed the task of electricity information collection.
