Study On Social Memory Construction Of Folk Archive

Compared to public archive or national archive, folk archive is widely scattered in folk, and it exists as text, including genealogy, inscription, letter, account book, diary,note and official archive which is scattered in each place, with regionalism,diversity and folk characteristics. These are important archival datas to understand local society, history of everyday life, history of edge outlining social memory of a region from one side to constitute the memory of the whole society together with public archive. So folk archive plays an important role in social memory is still confined to public archive, and the attention on folk archive is not enough. In the framework of social memory theory, this article explores the feasibility of folk in social memory construction and concrete proposal of construction through analyzing the connotation of folk archive and its role in social memory construction, and explains that folk archive has important role play in constructing social memory through case analysis of huizhou document's meaning in the construction of huizhou social memory.
