These systems lack of information communication, among our most profound difficulties is making them work together and carefully managing the product lifecycle management.And with the rapid expansion of the market, the urgent demand of new product development and management innovation, the existing development mode of enterprises can’t meet the needs of the development of enterprises. Our company introduced advanced technology- product life cycle management project. After detailed research and integration of the business analysis, this paper designed and implemented the whole life cycle management system which based on Winchill system products, the system runs through from the project management in product data management, from the materials, design drawings to change management, process control to achieve closed-loop, optimization from the process, control the basic data on balance, meet the changing business collaborative demand.The main idea of this paper is to introduce the knowledge of PLM, and the development and present situation of PLM. At the same time, the general function and structure of the system is described, and then the specific needs of the system from the beginning, detailed understanding of the operational characteristics and needs of the business sector, the need to sort out the integration, classification, the establishment of relevant data model.Then combined with the specific needs of the business sector, the system needs to design the functional modules, in order to achieve the business sector needs, design time to pay attention to the adaptability and scalability of functional modules.Finally is the system function module realization process, and will realize the process of the good method measure, the experience is extracted, as the follow-up implementation related system’s guidance, as well as the follow-up system function promotion prospect.On the basis of analyzing the whole life cycle management system of manufacturing enterprises and products, this paper studies some key issues of PLM, and discusses the principles and methods of PTC company’s Winchill product data management system, and discusses the implementation plan of the whole life cycle management system, and analyzes the results of two years, and focuses on the design and implementation of PLM system. The system on-line operation, stable operation, business personnel identity degrees higher, on line two years of data analysis, excellent index. To shorten the design time, improve production efficiency, have important practical engineering significance.
