On The Study Of Environmental Reports In China Since The 18^th CPC National Congress

In recent years,China has made remarkable achievements in economy and people's living level is further improving. However,the tense relationship between supply and demand, serious environmental pollution,ecosystem degradation and such problems have already become a great obstacle to hinder the further development of economic and social. Ecological protection began to enter the mainstream of macroeconomic policy-making and reform of the system of vision. Environmental problem has become the focus of attention of the party and the state in a long period of time. So environmental report must occupies an important position in news. The 18 th CPC National Congress held in November 2012 unprecedented put ecological civilization in the "five one" of the overall layout. People's daily is the central party organ. In order to recall the task of the 18 th CPC National Congress,People's daily established new report on environmental issue-- "eco weekly" in 5th January 2012. The “eco weekly” takes the construction of ecological civilization as its mission and continue to be professional and authoritative. The topic of “eco weekly” is around the construction of ecological civilization which is widely discussed and analyzed. And it is doing a great job in guiding the public opinion through environment reports.This article takes environmental reports of “eco weekly” as the object of research. By researching a lot data such as number of reports, the length of reports, the category of agenda setting, the article aim to explore the status and characteristics of “eco weekly” which will help to understand the current level and status of environmental reports in China. Meanwhile, the reports' features and defects can also provide reference for other media.
